Alison Ring in Claire Goldsmith 'Lowe'

This is the very lovely Alison Ring who shares our passion for beautiful eyewear. Alison happens to be the wife of world renowned Eye Surgeon Mr Peter Ring, one of Auckland’s leading Lasik surgeons. We are privileged to work alongside Peter and his team with Lasik referrals and very privileged that Alison comes to us for her eyewear.

Alison is wearing  'Lowe' in blackcurrent by Claire Goldsmith. We just love this frame on her and we hear that Peter approves which means a lot, since Peter’s speciality is helping folk out of their glasses!

Viv Rickman in Dita 'Courante'

The delightful Viv Rickman has been a client of ours for several years, brightening up the store with every visit. As Manager at SKM engineering consultants, Viv knows the value of great engineering and has chosen a pair of beautifully-designed Ditas for her new glasses. She's made an excellent choice with the 'Courante', an elegant classic that's just the right size and a great fit. Lovely.

Jane Mow in SALT 'Clark'

Jane Mow is in her final year of fashion design at AUT, specialising in Menswear. She also works at Hugo Boss and is wardrobe coordinator for News and Current Affairs at Maori Television. Being so fashionable, we suspected Jane would have great taste in eyewear too and she confirmed our suspicions by choosing SALT 'Clark' in Black as her new glasses. Excellent choice Jane!

A feast for the eyes!

Much to our delight, the second shipment of Bevel has arrived and created a refreshing splash of colour in both of our stores. The new frames are mostly bi-colour milled titanium, with a few titanium/acetate combinations stashed amongst them. Here's a glimpse...

The sophisticated 'L'Entrecote' in Amethyst

(Take another look at that luxurious purple)

The playful 'Guidette' in Violet and Pastel Lime

The no-nonsense 'C.I.D.' in Dark Brown/Dark Blue

The 'Brilliant' in Espresso and Electric Eel. Speaks for itself really!

Chris Williams in Claire Goldsmith 'Carters'

Here's Chris Williams wearing 'Carters' in Black by Claire Goldsmith. The founder and director of Blackbox Photography, Chris along with partner Pam Goode (who we hope to feature soon) are responsible for some of the images behind New Zealand’s largest and most successful corporate advertising campaigns. Not only is the Carters a perfect fit on Chris, he really owns this frame and has created a new look for himself that is as compelling as his photography.

New Zealand, meet Bevel Spectacles!

For the first time in New Zealand, we'd like to introduce our newest range:

It felt like Christmas had come early when this box arrived at our Newmarket store...

The order contained feminine cat's eye shapes, nerdy retro men's frames, and everything in between.

Featuring the bold colour pathways that Bevel does especially well...

Not to mention some very unique bi-coloured acetate and titanium numbers!

Designed in the USA by Richard Mewha and Rick Nelson and brought to life by expert Japanese craftsmen, these frames really make a statement. Mewha and Nelson started Bevel in 1999 and have since become known for their bold designs and innovative use of materials.

We've got Bevel frames in acetate, super-light titanium and a combination of the two materials, all in a wide range of colours and shapes at both Teed Street (Newmarket) and High Street (Auckland City).

If you're after tidy, high-quality frames with plenty of impact, Bevel could be just the thing you're looking for.
