Air Quality Scientist Jayne Metcalfe was the first person in New Zealand to wear one of Claire Goldsmith’s new designs, the Cooper. Pictured here in colour “Melon Tort”, Jayne started something, as we are now having trouble keeping the new Claire Goldsmith designs on the shelf.

The soft outline of Vinka Clement's new sunglasses, the "Uuksuu" by Oliver Goldsmith, offer a soft contrast to her tailored winter attire and frame her face perfectly.  Anna Wintour famously said "you either know fashion or you don't” and we think even the editor of American Vogue might agree that, when it comes to sunglasses, Vinka got one up!

Pictured, Dianne Swann lead vocalist from the 'The Bads', wearing SALT honey tort. Dianne and fellow band member Brett Adams enjoyed their own successful musical careers before joining forces in London in the early 90’s to form “The Bads”. Dianne’s glasses are already being put to good use writing songs for their new album. Aston Kwan in the Oleg by Bevel

Don’t let the sunshine fool you, banker Ashton Kwan kindly agreed for us to take his photo outside on the coldest day of the year so far!   Ashton chose Bevel, Oleg in crystal to add to his own “cool” factor and we are particularly pleased with the end result.  We have permission to share that Ashton’s script is high  -12  in his left eye and -14 in his right eye.  Any of you who have a prescription like that will understand the challenges of making a pair of glasses that not only work perfectly but look great.  This was a team effort, carefully chosen frame and top performance from Independent Lens Company in Christchurch who sourced the thinnest and lightest lenses possible from the States.  

Anas Hafeedh in the Wooden Beausoleil from Frédéric Beausoleil

Anas Hafeedh is an Architect working on High St and just couldn’t resist this Frederic Beausoleil take on a bit of “Le Corbusier” style.  Being interested in construction, Anas liked Beausoleil’s combination use of acetate and wood pulp to achieve a grain textured and durable frame.  Anas we hope the unique design features of this frames will serve as daily inspiration for you to make your own mark on the world of modern architecture.
