We're not really sure why anybody would want to look like Andy Warhol... but hairstyling aside, he had some great gigs.

Yellows Plus - Good as gold
Japan is well recognised as a world leader in technology, electronics and the car industry. What you might not know is that Japan is also an innovative world leader when it comes to eyewear. "Hand-made in Japan" means beautiful assembly to the highest standard.
We are familiar with many ranges from Europe and the USA who make their frames in Japan. And then we started wondering... if Japan produces the finest quality hand-made glasses, do they have any exceptional eyewear designers of their own? We had a look around, and we struck gold. Or shall we say, yellow. For the first time in New Zealand, we are proud to introduce "Yellows Plus" - an exquisite range of frames and sunglasses designed by Japan's own Toshiaki Yamagishi, and 100% hand made in Japan.
The acetate frames are made of Japanese zyl, a cotton based material which is tough, light and lasts a very long time. The superior finish of Yellows Plus has to be seen to be believed. The acetate frames are all hand turned in a barrel of wood chips to achieve a marine finish and natural sheen.
Yamagishi is a fan of the "less is more" school. There are no fads or gimmicks, just exceptional quality. Yellows Plus is a range that looks stunning, and feels beautiful to wear.
Our shipment of Yellows Plus came in last week. Take a look at the new arrivals below and you'll see why we are so excited about this range.
If you like the look of these frames, come in and try some on today.
They won't be on the shelves for long!
Angela Yan in Dita 'Opus'
Meet Angela Yan. She's a stylish AUT student who absolutely loves Dita eyewear. Can you blame her? It's hard not to fall in love with Dita's luxurious designs, especially when they look this good on you. This time Angela has chosen the deliciously red 'Opus' sunglasses for a touch of refined elegance.
She says she loves our High Street store. We suspect it has something to do with our Dita collection but we'd like to think that's not the only reason.
Enjoy your new shades Angela!

Jeanette Paine in Dita 'Svelte' and Oliver Goldsmith 'Sophie'
Jeanette Paine was one of our first clients when we opened in Teed St almost 8 years ago and has since become a good friend and devotee of beautiful eyewear.
Jeanette is the Executive Director of Marketing and Communications at Unitec Institute of Technology and responsible for the latest "Change Starts Here" campaign, which you might have seen on the telly. Great to see you're leading the way with 'change' Jeanette - as with these frames and sunglasses we're pretty sure the Institute will be asking you to head the fashion department as well.
Dita's Svelte for opticals and Oliver Goldsmith's Sophie for prescription sunglasses are both excellent choices. Not only are they both gorgeous design classics, but they're perfect for Jeanette's high script as neither go too wide or deep.

Peter Reiber in Zero G 'Hudson'
Peter is one of our favourite clients and wears his new Zero G sunglasses particularly well, we think. He loves the extreme comfort of Zero G's ultra-lightweight surgical titanium designs.
Peter is now looking for some new optical glasses... Will he go for a Zero G?
