Claire Goldsmith has done it again. Feast your eyes on these stunning brand new designs straight out of London! Some of these new styles feature the added subtle detailing of textured acetate, which adds a whole new level of interest.

Sunglasses of the Week: RVS

Jenny Duncan came into our Teed Street store to collect her new Bevel glasses and came away with a brand new pair of RVS sunglasses! Jenny is the first person to be sporting these sunglasses in New Zealand, and she does a fabulous job of representing the brand. These New York-designed frames are handcrafted in Japan and feature the signature RVS matte finish - let's hope they help persuade the sun to come out!

Introducing: VASUMA Eyewear

For part two of our new eyewear introduction we present to you Vasuma Eyewear from Sweden. Vasuma epitomizes minimal Scandinavian design, balancing modernism with classic timelessness. Couple this with Japanese craftsmanship and great things are achieved.

Vasuma Eyewear was founded by Jan Vana, Lars Malmsten and Steffen Sundelius in Sweden. They offer a collection of beautiful unisex sun and optical glasses, handcrafted in Japan using the best Japanese zyl acetate. After starting out in a cellar in 2005, Vasuma moved to their current office/showroom in Gamla Stan, Stockholm in 2007. Music, Movies, Food and popular culture in general is a huge influence on the Vasuma brand.

2015 marks the 10 year anniversary of Vasuma Eyewear, and we are proud to be introducing them to New Zealand.

 

Introducing: RVS Eyewear

We have not one but TWO brand new fantastic eyewear ranges now in store! These fresh and modern brands have reached our shores for the first time, and can only be found at Michael Holmes Premium Eyewear.

Today we introduce you to our new brand from New York. RVS Eyewear is a burst of colour on the eyewear scene; their signature hand-painted red screws and matte finish make sure they stand out from the crowd. 

Founded in 2007, RVS was brought to life with the goal of achieving the quality and originality of the past - frames made the way they uses to be. RVS Eyewear is hand produced by Italian artisans with over 60 years of tradition in the eyewear business. Each RVS frame is made from the best Italian zyl acetate with a matte finish. Every detail on each frame is finalised by hand, down to the signature hand painted red hinge screws.

New Martin & Martin Has Landed!

Opening up deliveries from our designers often feels like Christmas, especially when there are brand new models, so this week's arrival from Germany of 60 pieces of eyewear was pretty exciting! 

Amongst them are all our firm favourites in a variety of colourways, as well as some beautiful new designs in innovative colours.

Introducing NEW Claire Goldsmith for 2015!

We are thrilled to receive the continuation of Claire Goldsmith's latest additions to her Legacy range. These frames are newly released and we are among the first in the world to be offering them!

As with the last arrivals of 2014, the newest Claire Goldsmith modelss are a slimmer, more streamlined take on her signature style. They still contain the recognisable Goldsmith DNA, but are more pared back, carefully contoured and refined. Take a look below at the beautiful designs, it's tricky choosing which colours to feature as they are all gorgeous.

Introducing the 'Hampstead'

We are very excited to be the first store in the world to offer the brand new 'Hampstead' sunglass design from Oliver Goldsmith.

While the 'Hampstead' holds the same DNA as the popular and now withdrawn vintage 'Chas (1966)' model, Goldsmith have cleverly designed a whole new identity to surround the iconic lens shape.

This model comes in several beautiful new colours including patterned acetate with names like 'Jam' and 'Blue Amber' that really need to be seen in person to be appreciated. The 'Hampstead' is in both stores now.

Blue Rainbow Perfection!

Vanessa Hills wears her fabulous new limited edition Oliver Goldsmith 'Norum' in Blue Rainbow. These sunglasses are sensational, the beautiful graduated shades of plue and purple are stunning when the light shines through the acetate and turns them translucent. 

Vanessa's love of colour extends from her accessories to her mode of transport, and she must be the most stylish scooter rider around town!
