Glasses of the Week: Twice as Good

A busy lawyer and mum of two kids, Katie Carson still manages to pull off a high level of style and chose new Bevel glasses and Yellows Plus pink crystal sunglasses to update her eyewear wardrobe. Not to be left out, Katie's husband Joel just purchased his Claire Goldsmith glasses from us last week and was also featured here.

Glasses of the Week: Japanese Blue

When the lovely Janet Hoffman came searching for glasses, she wanted something classic with a twist. This Japanese designed and made frame from Yellows Plus is the perfect choice. 

The navy blue Japanese zyl acetate is subtle enough to pass for black in low lighting but in certain light picks up the blue beautifully, and tortoiseshell temples add an interesting touch. 

This design complements Janet wonderfully.

Glasses of the Week: Kate Budgen

Kate Budgen wearing new Yellows Plus glasses in time for her final year 13 exams. At age 18, Katie's list of achievements runs for miles. She has just completed her final year at Mt Albert Grammar School where she was Head Girl and awarded Dux. 

Academia has not been at the expense of the arts or sport as Katie is an accomplished cello player and was captain of the New Zealand Women's La Crosse team. She is one of only a small number of students to receive an Auckland University full fees scholarship. 

However to us here, Katie is most well known as Tom Holmes' (Michael's son's) girlfriend. Lucky Tom! All the best Katie (and Tom) as you head off to Uni next year.

Business Manager Fiona Merritt is sensational in this classic 1950's inspired titanium/acetate combination frame by Japanese designer Toshiaki Yamagishi. Yamagishi's brand Yellows Plus belongs to the less is more school adding freshness to classic retro.

Glasses of the Week: Big Day Out

This gorgeous couple had a great time enjoying the sunshine at Big Day Out festival in January, and took their most important accessory with them to see some Snoop Dogg.

Paul looks sharp in the Oliver Goldsmith "Matador" in Matte Wakame and our very own dispensing optician Kerry wears her Yellows Plus "Sonia" in Tortoiseshell, looking good!

We are excited to announce the arrival of a new shipment of Yellows Plus.  Revered Japanese eyewear designer Toshiaki Yamagishi is not only a unique talent he is a great guy who enjoys attending to many of his international accounts directly and we are fortunate to be one of them.  Yellows Plus is an outstanding blend of beautifully proportioned designs coupled with Japanese craftsmanship.  Made of the highest quality Japanese zyl acetate or Japanese titanium, the entire range is supremely elegant yet natural and uncontrived.  Here are Michael's favourite frames from the new shipment
